Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Colin Lloyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Lockhart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Colin Lloyd! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Frank Lockhart! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Michael Johnstone and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lloyd showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lockhart.
Colin Lloyd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lloyd rushes Lockhart and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Lloyd manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Lockhart tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Lockhart jumps guard but Lloyd stands there with Lockhart around his waist. Lockhart gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Lloyd gets control of Lockhart's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lloyd will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Lloyd keeping full guard, as Lockhart tries to pass. Lloyd seems keen to control Lockhart's posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lockhart accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Lloyd could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Lockhart preventing the sweep. Lockhart slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lockhart is looking to take a break and control but Lloyd is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lockhart working away. Lloyd tries to buck Lockhart off but Lockhart is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lockhart working away. Lockhart tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Lockhart advances to mount. Lloyd tries to lock up and control but Lockhart gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Lockhart prevents Lloyd from getting the reversal. Lockhart looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Lockhart is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lloyd can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Lloyd regains half guard. Lloyd knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lockhart on the ground. Lloyd wants to control but Lockhart is keeping busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lloyd is defending against the submission attempts here by Lockhart.
Lockhart is thwarting Lloyd's attempts to control the position. Lockhart is looking to take a break and control but Lloyd is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lloyd is trying is best to control the position here. Lloyd tries to get to full guard but Lockhart has control of the leg.

Lockhart is keen to just control but Lloyd is a slippery customer. Lloyd is doing well to control the position and prevent Lockhart from advancing to side control. Lockhart wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lloyd keeps working. Lockhart is looking to advance position but Lloyd won't allow it. Lloyd is trying to control but can't.
Lloyd wants to get back to full guard but Lockhart has mounted him! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lloyd is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Lockhart working away from the top, dropping strikes. Lockhart working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Lloyd turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Lockhart off and cradles Lloyd's limp body as Lockhart celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Frank Lockhart!
