Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Boothe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Palowakski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
33 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thomas Boothe! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fred Palowakski ! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Palowakski throws a sloppy head kick and Boothe moves out of range easily. Palowakski lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Palowakski takes the fight into the clinch. Boothe blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Palowakski 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Palowakski fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Boothe manages to avoid it. A little feinted left hand from Boothe on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Boothe throws a right and a left that both miss. Palowakski checks a leg kick. Boothe throws a series of strikes that have Palowakski backpedaling.
It looks like Fred Palowakski has been cut. Boothe throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Boothe throws a leg kick that misses. Palowakski takes a swing at Boothe's ribcage but misses. Palowakski slips under a jab. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Palowakski , right into the meat.
Boothe looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Palowakski wants to clinch up but Boothe keeps it at a distance. Boothe feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Palowakski sprawling to the canvas! Palowakski rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Boothe finish him?!
Palowakski is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Look low, kick high! Boothe uses the oldest trick in the book to send Palowakski tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Boothe is absolutely delighted - when Palowakski wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Thomas Boothe! Thomas Boothe retains his light heavyweight title!
