Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Milson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Theodore Malenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Milson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Theodore Malenko! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Milson slips under a jab. Milson lands a head kick that stumbles Malenko and the fighters go to the mat.
It looks like Theodore Malenko has been cut. Malenko looking to hit a scissor sweep but Milson is one step ahead there. Malenko keeping moving, preventing Milson from controlling successfully. Milson stays in close to Malenko's body and controls the position. Milson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Malenko on the ground. Milson stopping the sweep attempt from Malenko. Malenko is trying to keep Milson in close.
That's one minute gone in the round. Milson won't allow Malenko to sweep him here. Malenko is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Malenko tries to stand and escape but Milson is controlling the position. Milson tries to kick Malenko off but Malenko keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Malenko wants to take a breather but Milson is having none of it. Malenko trying to control from Milson's half guard. Milson has other ideas though and has regained full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Milson wants to get back to his feet but Malenko is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Malenko postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Malenko drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Milson dives on top into guard. Malenko looking for a sweep. Not yet Malenko, not yet. Malenko working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Milson. Malenko is trying to keep Milson in close.
Milson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Milson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Malenko swivels though and keeps the full guard. Milson trying to stand up but can't free himself from Malenko's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Milson wants to control from the top but Malenko keeps moving. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Milson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Malenko is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Malenko has his foot on Milson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Milson works his way back into a safe position though. Malenko looks gassed! Malenko is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Milson tries to stand but Malenko is controlling from the bottom. Milson trying to control the position from guard on top but Malenko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Milson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Malenko throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Milson is stalling in the full guard. Milson won't allow Malenko to sweep him here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Milson dominated that round. The cut man is working on Theodore Malenko's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Milson has Malenko up against the cage in a clinch.

Malenko tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Milson smiles and moves away.
Milson blocks a jab. Malenko looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Milson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Milson. Milson misses with a head kick.
Milson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Milson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Malenko is breathing heavily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Malenko takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Malenko shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Milson as he avoids it easily. Mike Milson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Theodore Malenko. Milson moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Milson scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Mike Milson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Milson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Milson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Milson breaks from the clinch.
Milson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Milson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Milson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Milson tests Malenko's chin there with a solid looking shot. Milson is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Milson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Milson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mike Milson is winning the standup battle so far. Malenko tries to close the distance and clinch up but Milson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Malenko swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Milson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Malenko's knee momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Malenko has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Malenko there as he acknowledges the shot. Milson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. A head kick misses from Milson. Malenko moves into range and clinches up with Milson. Malenko trying to land knees to the body.
A head punch on the inside from Malenko fails to land. Milson slows down the pace here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Malenko is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Milson is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
