Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gregor McConor!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barron connects with a single shot there.
McConor throws a head kick but Barron moves out of range.
McConor misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

McConor clinches.

McConor looking to throw knees to the head but Barron is blocking nicely.
McConor pushes Barron back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Barron breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
McConor tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
McConor pulls out of a head kick attempt.

enabling Barron to counter with a crisp jab.
McConor jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Barron fails to land the takedown.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Barron moves out of range of the body kick.

Barron shoots in and bounces McConor off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McConor wants to hit a switch here but Barron passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for McConor there!

Barron has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of McConor's face.

Barron is landing with some decent strikes but McConor is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Barron lands a couple of good shots and McConor has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Barron is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Barron gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Barron gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Barron apologises and we restart here on the feet.
McConor throws a head kick but Barron moves out of range.

Barron feints and as McConor raises his hands in defense, Barron changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
McConor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barron. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
McConor wants to get back to his feet but Barron passes into half guard.
Barron slips a nice elbow through McConor's hands, connecting with McConor's forehead.
Barron passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for McConor!

This has been an exciting period of action!

Barron wants to finish this one by submission but McConor is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Barron.

Barron takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Barron closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into McConor's guard.

Barron is going oldschool here, as he tries to force McConor to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so McConor shrugs it off.
