Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Malcolm Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donnie Yen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reynolds's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Ballad Of Serenity. Donnie Yen has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Malcolm Reynolds! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Donnie Yen! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yen throws a head kick but Reynolds moves out of range.
Reynolds fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Yen manages to avoid it. Yen throws a right and a left that Reynolds avoids nicely. Yen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Yen misses with a leg kick and Reynolds counters with a nice uppercut. A low kick from Yen misses and Reynolds counters with a nice double leg into guard. Reynolds looking to pass the guard. Reynolds prevents Yen from getting back to his feet. Yen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Yen working a defensive guard but Reynolds passes into half guard.
Yen is not content to let Reynolds control the position. Reynolds wants to work for an arm triangle but Yen is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Yen throws a sloppy head kick so Reynolds counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. That's four minutes gone in the round. Yen sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Yen is rocked! Malcolm Reynolds overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Reynolds seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Yen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Yen is still in real trouble! Can Reynolds finish him? We've been hearing that Reynolds has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Yen trying to control but Reynolds postures up.

This could be trouble! No, Yen has managed to free his arm - good work. Yen felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Reynolds is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Yen is surviving well by controlling Reynolds's body position as best he can. Yen is squirming around, avoiding Reynolds's attempts to control the action. Reynolds is landing with some decent strikes but Yen is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Reynolds controlling the pace for now. Reynolds tries to control but Yen wriggling away. Reynolds is really struggling to control Yen but he's trying to hold on to the position. Reynolds is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Yen can do to turn this around?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reynolds lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Reynolds breaks from Yen's wrist control and lands an elbow. Yen manages to regain half guard. Good work. Yen regains full guard. Nicely done. Reynolds trying to control the position from guard on top but Yen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Reynolds tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Reynolds has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Yen clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! A lull in the action here.

Yen is taking damage to the body and head. Reynolds has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Yen has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Reynolds is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Yen knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Yen for a finish. Yen is really stuck here.

Reynolds thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Reynolds with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

A head kick by Yen misses and Reynolds counters with a single leg into guard. Yen didn't expect that. Reynolds slips nicely into half guard. Reynolds passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Yen! Yen is absolutely dripping with sweat - he looks exhausted.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yen takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Reynolds's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 4, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Malcolm Reynolds! After winning the bout, Malcolm Reynolds thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
