Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mikey Ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Michaels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michaels throws out a leg kick but Ferguson moves out of range and Michaels only half commits.
Good exchange - Ferguson coming out on top.
Ferguson throws a jab but it's blocked by Michaels.
Mikey Ferguson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Michaels takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Michaels does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Ferguson throws the left hand but Michaels avoids the punch easily.
Mikey Ferguson is winning the standup battle so far.
Michaels fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ferguson.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Michaels is nestled in close to Ferguson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Michaels throws a strike but Ferguson manages to get a kimura sweep and he's found himself on top with the kimura half locked in! This would be a real turnaround! He's torquing it... Will Michaels tap??? YES! He's tapped! This one is all over!
