PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kazaki Fujita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Vieira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fujita's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Metallica-Enter Sandman. Leo Vieira told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 26 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Leo Vieira!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fujita scores with a punch to the head.
Fujita has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Irish Collar-and-Elbow Academy in the buildup to the fight.

Fujita has Vieira up against the cage in a clinch.
Vieira wants a takedown.
Vieira is working for takedown but Fujita is calmly controlling the position for now.
Vieira is looking for a takedown.
Kazaki Fujita has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leo Vieira.
Vieira has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Fujita avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Vieira looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Fujita pushes Vieira back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Fujita goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Vieira has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Fujita but great work by Vieira.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Fujita stands and throws Vieira's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Fujita will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Vieira is trying to escape the position but Fujita is controlling the position.

Fujita scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Vieira is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Fujita can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kazaki Fujita!
Our winner, Kazaki Fujita, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
