Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mancine circles away from the clinch attempt.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Mancine has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
The fighters circling - Mancine throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Rose throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Mancine counters with a takedown into side control.
Rose seems a little lost for a moment, as Mancine dominates the positioning.
Rose struggling a bit here.
Mancine is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rose knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Rose is looking for a sweep.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mancine is looking to take a break and control but Rose is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Rose knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mancine on the ground.

Mancine tries to move into full mount but can't pass Rose's legs.
Rose has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Mancine has an Americana. Rose didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Mancine is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Mancine hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
