PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Berus Lihi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Veldrane Sengir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Veldrane Sengir was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Berus Lihi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Veldrane Sengir!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lihi tried to score with a low kick but Sengir checks it.
Lihi tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Sengir is able to avoid easily.
Lihi misses with a leg kick
and Sengir counters with a nice uppercut.
Sengir tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lihi swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lihi throws a leg kick but Sengir checks it.

Sengir looking to score a takedown here. Lihi is defending well but Sengir drives through and ends up in Lihi's guard.
Sengir prevents Lihi from getting back to his feet.
Sengir's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Lihi is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Nonprofit Vegas Elite $50 ($1000 value) that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Lihi avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lihi wants to get back to his feet but Sengir is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Sengir looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lihi throws a series of strikes that have Sengir backpedaling.

Sengir is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lihi sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Berus Lihi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Veldrane Sengir.

Sengir gets the takedown into side control.
Lihi tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sengir wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Lihi is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Sengir asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Lihi looking for a sweep but Sengir has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Sengir looking to control and managing it successfully.
Lihi might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Lihi wants to hold on but Sengir pushes him away.
Lihi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sengir on the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lihi is desperately trying to improve his position but Sengir has a good base and remains in mount.
Sengir controlling from the full mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sengir has isolated one of Lihi's arms. Lihi looking to fight him off but Sengir twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Veldrane Sengir!
