Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gus Potts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JC Seraphim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gus Potts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, JC Seraphim! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Francis DeMontford and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Seraphim clinches up with Potts and pushes him back against the cage. Seraphim scores with a shot to the side of Potts's head. Potts wants to get back to striking at distance but Seraphim won't allow it.
Potts is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Seraphim to keep the fight standing. Nice body punch from Seraphim - that landed with a thud.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Potts jumps guard but Seraphim turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Seraphim gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Seraphim controlling the action here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Let's hope that Seraphim has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Potts is looking for a sweep. Seraphim is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Seraphim performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Seraphim stands up out of the half guard. Seraphim misses the shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Potts blocks a head kick by Seraphim.
Seraphim is looking to clinch. Seraphim lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Seraphim closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Potts quickly recovers to half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Seraphim in particular looking to stall. Seraphim tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Potts. Seraphim stalling. Potts is trying to escape back to his feet but Seraphim uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Potts can't do much from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Potts is looking to regain half guard here but Seraphim keeps moving and retains side control. Seraphim is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Potts is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Potts is trying to maintain the position but Seraphim is very close to passing his half guard. Seraphim stops Potts from getting back to his feet.

Seraphim looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. It looks like Seraphim might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Seraphim is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Seraphim scoring with strikes but Potts is staying in there. Seraphim prevents Potts from getting the reversal. Seraphim looking to control and managing it successfully. Potts can't escape the position.
Seraphim tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Potts tries to hold on but Seraphim pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Potts is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Seraphim cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Potts is squirming around, avoiding Seraphim's attempts to control the action. Seraphim content just to control the position here. Seraphim looking to control but Potts is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Seraphim working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Potts looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Seraphim! Submission of the night perhaps?
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). JC Seraphim! A very excited looking JC Seraphim rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
