Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between James Jaffer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jaffer comes to the cage accompanied by DubRaider- Starry Eyes. Garcia is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: 2Pac – Only Fear Of Death. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jaffer throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Jaffer throws a hook but Garcia avoids it easily.
Johnny Garcia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
An inside leg kick from Garcia misses.
Jaffer avoids a punch combination nicely.

Garcia shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jaffer is trying to defend but Garcia finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Garcia is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jaffer defends it well.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Garcia working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Jaffer is doing well to control the position and prevent Garcia from advancing to side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Garcia has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Jaffer doesn't defend quickly enough and Garcia has managed to lock this one up! Can Jaffer escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Garcia on a fantastic submission victory.
