Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Scotty Pilgrims (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dustin Wagner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wagner has chosen Hall of fame as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Scotty Pilgrims! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dustin Wagner! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Josh West and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pilgrims comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Wagner keeps the fight on the outside. Pilgrims misses with a low kick.
Wagner has his takedown stuffed and Pilgrims connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Some wild striking there from Pilgrims.
Pilgrims tries to land a leg kick but Wagner saw it coming and moves away.
Pilgrims scores with a crisp jab that stopped Wagner in his tracks. Pilgrims throws a one two combo.
Wagner goes for a double leg but Pilgrims avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Pilgrims continues to drive forward. Pilgrims gets underhooks to prevent Wagner's takedown attempt.
Scotty Pilgrims has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dustin Wagner. Wagner has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Pilgrims regains guard immediately. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wagner drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wagner jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Pilgrims knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wagner on the ground. Wagner trying to control the position from guard on top but Pilgrims is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wagner looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Wagner trying to control but Pilgrims is working from the bottom. Wagner controls from within his opponent's guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Wagner thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wagner wants to control from the top but Pilgrims keeps moving. Wagner wants to get up but he can't break Pilgrims's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Dustin Wagner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pilgrims moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wagner. Wagner shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pilgrims pinned against the cage. Pilgrims gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wagner shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Wagner is figuring out what he wants to do next. Wagner is trying to control. Pilgrims wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wagner moves nicely into side control. Pilgrims is breathing heavily. Wagner taking a breather here. Wagner trying to control the position but Pilgrims is working away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wagner staying calm. Wagner is working to tighten his grip on Pilgrims's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Pilgrims has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Wagner is really squeezing tight and eventually Pilgrims passes out! Wagner breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
