The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takahashi connects with a single shot there.

Redfield throws the left hand but Takahashi avoids the punch easily.
Takahashi throws a body punch but Redfield moves out of range.
Redfield looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Redfield tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Takahashi defends well and Redfield ends up having to push Takahashi into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Takahashi stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Redfield tries for a takedown but Takahashi manages to get underhooks.

Redfield bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Redfield remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Redfield takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Oooooh!!! Takahashi has knocked Redfield down with a huge combo! Takahashi steps away and waves a wobbly Redfield back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A head kick by Takahashi - that's a beauty! Redfield is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Takahashi can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
