Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Norman Parke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antoni Hong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Antoni Hong told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Norman Parke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Antoni Hong! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hong takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Hong throws a sloppy head kick and Parke moves out of range easily. Parke swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Hong throws a leg kick but Parke moved away. Hong getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
It looks like Norman Parke has been cut. Hong takes a body punch but keeps moving. Parke uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hong.
Hong on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Hong tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Parke is able to avoid easily. Parke's jab looks to have found its range, popping Hong under the eye. Hong wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Parke misses with a jab, cross combination.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Parke looks to land a combination but Hong avoids it well. Parke misses with a lunging right hand
and Hong connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Hong darts in trying to clinch and Parke counters with a nice double leg into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parke trying to control but Hong is working from the bottom. Hong manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Parke manages to get himself to full guard.
Parke pulls Hong in to control the position. Hong is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Parke trying to control the position.
Hong throwing strikes from guard but Parke blocks nicely. Parke working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hong.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hong trying to control the position from guard on top but Parke is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hong preventing the sweep. Parke is working hard here to advance position. Hong pushing down on Parke's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Parke is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Hong working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Hong lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Hong is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Parke wants to control but Hong is keeping busy.
Parke is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Silverback MMA Academy (Elite + Sauna & 160VM), so we'll see if he gets out of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parke is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Parke gets full guard. Parke is trying to control the position but Hong postures up. Parke is controlling Hong's posture.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Parke shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Hong uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Parke.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hong looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Parke is looking to wear down Hong with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Hong throws the left hand but Parke avoids the punch easily. Hong misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Parke.
Parke checks a low kick from Hong. Parke looks to score with a jab to the body but Hong is just out of range. Parke lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Parke. Parke comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Antoni Hong is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hong looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Parke checks a low kick from Hong. Parke misses with a series of wild punches.
Parke staying out of range there. Hong walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Parke throws an overhand right that lands on Hong's shoulder, as Hong tries to avoid the shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Norman Parke dominated that round. The cut man is working on Norman Parke's cut. That's time! Parke's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Parke shoots in looking for a takedown. Hong tries to sprawl out of it but Parke keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hong manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Parke looks to score with a jab to the body but Hong is just out of range. Hong throws a head kick that misses. Parke on the wrong end of a nice hook. Hong takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Parke fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Parke lands a jab. Norman Parke is winning the standup battle so far. Hong is looking to chop away at Parke's legs. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parke swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

Hong ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. A big right from Parke misses. Parke misses with a jab, cross combination.
Parke avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Parke ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hong moves away. A lazy left from Hong finds it's target. Parke fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Norman Parke. That's going to take a lot out of him. Parke misses with a wild body shot. Hong misses with a body kick. Parke throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hong.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parke loads up on a big right hand but Hong slips the punch. Parke fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Parke moves out of range of the body kick. Parke checks a leg kick nicely. Parke takes one to the side of the head.
This has been an exciting period of action! Hong throws a hook but Parke blocks it. Hong pivots, looking for a leg kick but Parke is out of range and Hong settles back down. Parke slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Parke blocks a leg kick. Parke throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Parke gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Hong moves forwards but Parke connects with a nice, crisp jab. Parke throws a shot to the body.
Parke moves out of range of the body kick. Norman Parke is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hong buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hong doesn't manage to clinch there - Parke circles away.
Parke ducks under a wild hook from Hong. Parke misses with an uppercut. Parke doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Parke fails to land with a series of punches.
Parke ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hong moves away. Parke drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hong gets back to half guard. Parke looks to land a strike but Hong avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Parke stands and throws Hong's legs to the side, diving into side control. Hong gets back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hong is looking to control Parke's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hong avoid being mounted? Parke wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hong keeps working. Parke thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hong's head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Parke trying to mount his opponent but Hong defends it. Parke not landing any meaningful shots this time. The fighters are battling for position here. Hong manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Hong keeping moving, preventing Parke from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Norman Parke will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Norman Parke's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Parke stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Hong misses with a left hand and Parke counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Parke wants to control from the top but Hong keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hong controlling the position. Norman Parke overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hong thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Parke wants to control from the top but Hong keeps moving. Parke sitting in guard, not really doing much. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parke preventing the sweep.

He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Hong not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Hong prevents Parke from improving his position. Hong not landing any meaningful shots this time. Parke tries to roll over but Hong keeps him under control. Hong is keen to just control but Parke is a slippery customer. Parke is looking to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Parke holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Hong works his way into side control. Hong wants to lay and pray for a moment but Parke keeps working. Parke is trying to improve his position. Hong is looking to take a break and control but Parke is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Parke struggling a bit here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hong lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Parke down.
Parke gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Parke moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Parke is trying to keep Hong in close.
Parke is controlling Hong's posture. Hong connects with a couple of short punches. Hong trying to control the position from guard on top but Parke is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Hong is fighting to break Parke's control of his arms but Parke is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

A slow jab from Parke misses its intended target. Norman Parke is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Parke checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Hong looks to land a left hand but Parke moved out of range nicely. Hong lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Nice body punch from Parke. Parke throws out a token jab with nothing on it. A cross from Hong lands. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Parke checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Parke avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Parke swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Antoni Hong. Well Parke has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
