Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brendon Aberdeen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alex Garcia!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Aberdeen was well out of range. Poor timing from Garcia.
Garcia looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Aberdeen moves into range and clinches up with Garcia.
Aberdeen tries to pull guard but Garcia forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Aberdeen misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Garcia's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Come on Aberdeen - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Aberdeen pulls guard.
Aberdeen has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Aberdeen's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Garcia trying to control the position from guard on top but Aberdeen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Garcia wants to stand but Aberdeen has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Aberdeen controlling Garcia's posture.
Aberdeen wants to sweep but no luck.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Aberdeen has his hands on Garcia's head, controlling the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Aberdeen looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Garcia gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Aberdeen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Aberdeen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Aberdeen drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Aberdeen seems to have locked his on tight now - Garcia screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Aberdeen, as he picks up the win!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Brendon Aberdeen!
Our winner, Brendon Aberdeen, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
