Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Georgio Socrates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Stroud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Socrates comes to the cage accompanied by Tool - Schism. Stroud has chosen Vallenfyre - Iconoclast as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Georgio Socrates! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 20 - 0, fighting out of London, Tom Stroud! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Chris Edwards and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Socrates fails with a takedown attempt. Socrates rushes Stroud and presses him up against the cage. Socrates has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Socrates turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Socrates working away. Stroud has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Socrates looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Stroud is avoiding damage well.

Stroud takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Socrates lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Stroud down.
Stroud is looking to reverse the position. You can see the frustration on Stroud's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Socrates is chipping away with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. An elbow from Socrates crashes against the mat.
Stroud is looking to reverse the position. Socrates creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Stroud sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. You can see the frustration on Stroud's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Socrates throws a strike aimed at the side of Stroud's head but Stroud avoids it well. Socrates in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Stroud manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Stroud is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Socrates is just riding it out for now. Stroud eventually gives up the hold.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Socrates is looking for a sweep. Stroud is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Stroud trying to control the action but Socrates is working from the bottom. Stroud scoring with strikes to the body and head. Stroud is working for a kimura but Socrates is defending it quite comfortably.
Socrates tries to roll over but Stroud keeps him under control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stroud thows a huge punch but Socrates dodges it nicely.

Socrates is trying to get back to full guard. Stroud tries to pass the half guard into mount. Socrates knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Stroud slips a nice elbow through Socrates's hands, connecting with Socrates's forehead. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Socrates gets full guard. Socrates trying to control the position.
Socrates working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Stroud. Socrates is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Stroud gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Socrates to score an easy takedown into full guard. Stroud looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Socrates is defending well. Stroud quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Socrates has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Stroud celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
