The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aroni ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Faber moves away.
Aroni throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Aroni pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Faber could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Faber gets tackled into the cage by Aroni. Aroni maintains the clinch.
Faber has a couple of punches blocked by Aroni.
Faber tries to stall but Aroni uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Aroni throws a punch but it's blocked by Faber.
Aroni fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Aroni lands with a light punch inside.
A frustrated look appears on Faber's face as he tries to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A head punch on the inside from Faber fails to land.
Faber tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Aroni misses with a short punch on the inside.

Faber blocks an uppercut.
Aroni lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Faber.
Faber is breathing heavily.

Aroni lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

A short right hand to the side of the head by Aroni.
Aroni lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Faber backwards.

Aroni makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Aroni drops Faber onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Faber is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oh Faber is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Aroni's coach down at Fitness elite 24/7 was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Aroni's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Aroni is struggling to control the position.
Aroni lands with a light punch inside.
Aroni creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Faber's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Faber drops to his knees and Aroni pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
