Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Connor Pappas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Blachowicz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Connor Pappas has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Connor Pappas seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danga de danga de dang - Pappas scores with a four punch combination!
Pappas throws a head kick but Blachowicz moves out of range.

Pappas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Blachowicz is pressed up against the cage. Pappas has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Blachowicz down to the mat. Blachowicz avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Pappas holds on and takes a little breather.
Pappas might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pappas pushes Blachowicz off and gets back to his feet.
Blachowicz closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Pappas's guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Pappas's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Pappas has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Blachowicz is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Pappas is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Blachowicz pulls him back up using the underhooks.
