Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seymour Ellenbogen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mark Lewis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Seymour Ellenbogen!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lewis rushes Ellenbogen and presses him up against the cage.
Lewis is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Ellenbogen.

Ellenbogen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Ellenbogen shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ellenbogen showed some decent athleticism there.
Lewis is looking to improve his position.
Lewis wants to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lewis tries to get to full guard but Ellenbogen has control of the leg.
Lewis is staying active underneath Ellenbogen, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ellenbogen is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lewis sees it coming and defends easily.

Ellenbogen wants to advance to full mount but Lewis doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Lewis is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ellenbogen defends well.
Ellenbogen sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lewis's guard.
Lewis wants to control but Ellenbogen is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Lewis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ellenbogen's waist but Ellenbogen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lewis off to one side.

Ellenbogen moves into the clinch.
Lewis throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Ellenbogens head.

Ellenbogen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lewis.
Lewis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ellenbogen pinned against the cage. Ellenbogen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Lewis changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Ellenbogen fights it off and pushes away nicely.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Lewis shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ellenbogen sprawls well. Ellenbogen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lewis gets slowly back to his feet.

Ellenbogen drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Lewis has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Ellenbogen is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Lewis.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Lewis looks to move to half guard but instead Ellenbogen has passed into mount! Damn!
Lewis is squirming around, avoiding Ellenbogen's attempts to control the action.

Ellenbogen is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Lewis to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Lewis shrugs it off.

Lewis tries to lock up and control but Ellenbogen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Seymour Ellenbogen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Lewis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Ellenbogen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lewis as he jumps to the side.

Ellenbogen shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lewis manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
