Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nicky Brunton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nicky Brunton looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nicky Brunton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, James Green!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brunton rushes Green and presses him up against the cage.
Green tries to pull guard but Brunton won't allow it.
Brunton keeps control of Green as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Green is trying to maintain a safe position but Brunton gets an underhook and turns Green into the cage.
Brunton avoids the elbow strike from Green, against the cage.
Green is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Brunton is keeping busy.
Green is trying to pull guard but Brunton turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Brunton wants a takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Green jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Brunton walks away with a smile on his face. Green gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Nicky Brunton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Green.
Brunton keeps the fight on the outside.

Green gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

We've been hearing reports that Brunton has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Brunton's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Green tries to close the distance and clinch up but Brunton swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Brunton leaves Green with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Green jumps guard but Brunton stands there with Green around his waist. Green gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Brunton misses with a head kick.
Brunton is breathing heavily.

Green darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Brunton on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Green is looking for a kimura but Brunton is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Green to get the leverage.
Green trying to control from half guard but Brunton is working away.

Green wants to work for an arm triangle but Brunton is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Brunton is not content to let Green control the position.
It looks like Green is going to stand back up.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Green looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Brunton is trying to control but can't.
Green is keen to just control but Brunton is a slippery customer.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Nicky Brunton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Brunton lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Green has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Green and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Green shoots for a double leg takedown but Brunton sprawls well. He's pushed Green's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Green shoots in and drives through. Brunton sprawls well.
Horrible takedown attempt by Green or perhaps it was just good defense by Brunton, which made it look bad.
Brunton wants to clinch up but Green keeps it at a distance.
Green shoots in looking for a takedown. Brunton tries to sprawl out of it but Green keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brunton manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Green feints and as Brunton raises his hands in defense, Green changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Green trying to control the position from guard on top but Brunton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Green is looking to work some ground and pound but Brunton has wrist control.
Brunton looking to hit a scissor sweep but Green is one step ahead there.

Brunton working for a triangle but Green defends it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Green trying to control but Brunton is working from the bottom.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Green is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Green really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brunton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Green stays in close to Brunton's body and controls the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Green fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brunton avoids it really well and circles away.
Green tries to clinch but Brunton moves out of range.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Brunton tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Green defends well and Brunton ends up having to push Green into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Green goes for a double leg but Brunton avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Brunton continues to drive forward.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Brunton is defended easily by Green.
Brunton defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Green.
Green works the jab nicely.
Brunton slaps away a takedown attempt from Green, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Good leg kick by Green there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Brunton gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Green.
Green is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Brunton to keep the fight standing.
Brunton looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Brunton tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Green smiles and moves away.

and Brunton counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Brunton.

Green pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Brunton tries to clinch there but Green circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Green showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Brunton is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Brunton takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Green lands a nice looking body kick.
Green scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Green misses with a takedown attempt - Brunton sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Green working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brunton doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brunton manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Green is looking to control Brunton's arms but Brunton gets an underhook and turns him. Now Green has his back to the cage.

Brunton pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Green tries to close the distance and clinch but Brunton swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Green misses with a jab, cross combination.
Green changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Brunton tries to avoid it but Green manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Brunton to the ground. Brunton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Brunton misses with a head kick.
Green wants to clinch up but Brunton keeps it at a distance.
Green lands a body shot.
Green displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Brunton.
Green looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Brunton is fending him off so far but Green persists. Nope, Brunton circles away and we're back to standing.

Green fails with an attempt to clinch.
Green tries to clinch there but Brunton circles away.
Green throws a right hand that Brunton ducks under and follows up with a left that Brunton also avoids with ease.

Green dives in and scores a takedown into Brunton's guard.

Green thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Green throws a big right hand that misses.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Green wants to get up but he can't break Brunton's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Green lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

James Green comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Green has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
