Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kanchai Suya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jalal ad-Dīn Muhammad Rumi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumi has chosen Yo-Yo Ma- Soul of Tango as his entrance music. Kanchai Suya has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kanchai Suya! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jalal ad-Dīn Muhammad Rumi! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suya slips a jab and a cross from Rumi.
Good exchange - Suya coming out on top. Rumi takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Rumi gets cracked there but stands up to it.
It looks like Jalal ad-Dīn Muhammad Rumi has been cut. Suya is looking to slow Rumi down with leg kicks. Suya looks to land a body kick but Rumi moved away. Rumi waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Suya. Rumi closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rumi content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Suya tries to roll over but Rumi keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Suya is staying active underneath Rumi, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Suya has his hands clasped together around Rumi's back. He's all about the action. Suya is looking to control Rumi's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Suya avoid being mounted? If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Suya is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Horrible takedown attempt by Rumi or perhaps it was just good defense by Suya, which made it look bad. Suya lands a head kick!
Rumi fails to land the takedown. Rumi fails with the takedown and Suya counters with a lovely shot to the body. Kanchai Suya has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jalal ad-Dīn Muhammad Rumi. A jab from Suya finds it's way through Rumi's defenses. Suya buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kanchai Suya is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Suya tries to land a front kick but Rumi steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Suya wants to land a leg kick but Rumi is out of range. A looping hook to the body misses from Rumi. Suya does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rumi misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Suya.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Suya. Rumi shrugs it off though. Rumi has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Rumi there as he acknowledges the shot. Suya feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Rumi sprawling to the canvas! Rumi rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Suya finish him?!
Rumi is rocked! Suya looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Suya lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Rumi head around and knocks him out cold! Suya hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kanchai Suya! During a confident post fight interview, Kanchai Suya thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him. Jalal ad-Dīn Muhammad Rumi was interviewed post fight and said 'I died as a mineral and became a plant,
I died as plant and rose to animal,
I died as animal and I was Man.
Why should I fear? When was I less by dying?'.
