The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jones was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Gracie pushes Jones away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jones gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Jones tries to stand but Gracie controls the position and pulls Jones into his guard.
Jones wants to stand but Gracie is controlling his posture from full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Jones wants to stand and escape but instead Gracie has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.


Gracie stands up and waves to Jones to follow him.
Jones lands a slapping body shot.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Gracie manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Jones manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Jones is working an open guard so Gracie takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Jones shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gracie is trying to defend but Jones finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Our spies down at at Top Gym inform us that Gracie has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Jones is breathing heavily.

Gracie has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Jones off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Jones closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jones lands in his opponent's guard.

Gracie is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Jones presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Jones has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Gracie works to full guard.

Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gracie moves away.

Gracie wants to get back to his feet but Jones drags him back down.

Gracie explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Jones leaves Gracie with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gracie is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Jones gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Gracie.

Jones gets control of Gracie's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jones will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Gracie stands up and waves to Jones to follow him.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Jones wants to stand and escape but instead Gracie has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jones is working an open guard so Gracie takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Antonio Gracie will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Gracie has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Jones has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Gracie wants the takedown. Jones is fighting it off but Gracie persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Jones's guard against the cage.
Jones wants to stand and escape but Gracie is having none of it.

Jones shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Gracie manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Gracie scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Jones shoots in and bounces Gracie off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Gracie has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Jones is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Gracie is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jones pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Gracie tightens his grip and picks Jones up, before dumping him to the ground. Jones manages to land in guard.
Jones is looking to stand up but Gracie isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gracie gets to his feet - Jones follows without any prompting.

Gracie dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Gracie's head and hops out.

Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gracie moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Antonio Gracie comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
