Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Henkka Seppala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vlad Kersikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Seppala comes to the cage accompanied by Children of Bodom - Smile pretty for the devil. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Henkka Seppala!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 5 - 2, fighting out of New York, Vlad Kersikov!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Dean Styles and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Seppala does no damage.
Kersikov lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Kersikov throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Seppala throws a hook but Kersikov avoids it easily.
Seppala tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Kersikov throws a low kick but Seppala moves out of range easily.
A punch lands to the side of Kersikov 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Kersikov digs a good hook to Seppala's body.
Kersikov lands with a kick to the temple. Seppala shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Kersikov throws a leg kick but Seppala checks it.
Seppala misses the jab.
Seppala motions for Kersikov to come forward. Seppala throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Kersikov goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Seppala throws a leg kick which misses Kersikov's front leg but catches the back leg as Kersikov tries to avoid it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kersikov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Seppala manages to avoid it.

Kersikov has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Seppala.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kersikov cracks Seppala with a right hand to the side of the head.
Kersikov takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Seppala lands a nice hook to Kersikov's body. Kersikov takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

and Seppala counters with a shoot takedown. Kersikov fights it but they end up in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Seppala bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kersikov's head backwards.

Seppala chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kersikov can pounce on him.
Kersikov fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Seppala has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Kersikov connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Seppala momentarily.

Seppala throws a right and a left that both miss.
Seppala lands a glancing blow to the side of Kersikov's head.

Kersikov uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Seppala.

and Seppala decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kersikov's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kersikov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

That was a close round but I would say that Henkka Seppala will probably get the nod.

so Seppala counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Kersikov has his foot on Seppala's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Seppala works his way back into a safe position though.
Kersikov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kersikov is pulling down on Seppala's head. It's preventing any offense from Seppala, at least for the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Kersikov lands a left and a right that send Seppala crashing to the mat, dazed. Kersikov thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Henkka Seppala has been cut.
Kersikov drops Seppala with a naaaaasty hook - Seppala is in real trouble here! Kersikov dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vlad Kersikov!
