Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wilson Bascon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piotr Przepiorka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bascon comes into the arena with Canon Rock blaring out of the sound system. Wilson Bascon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Wilson Bascon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Piotr Przepiorka! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Igor Prikhodko and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Bascon as Przepiorka shoots in. Przepiorka gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bascon to score an easy takedown into full guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Bascon wants to control from the top but Przepiorka keeps moving. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Bascon chips away with some ground and pound. Bascon pushing down on Przepiorka's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Przepiorka really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bascon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bascon lands with a punch from half guard. Bascon is looking for a kimura but Przepiorka is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bascon to get the leverage. Przepiorka has hold of Bascon's hands but Bascon slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Przepiorka is staying active underneath Bascon, who seems content to just control the action from this position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Przepiorka can do anything to dispel that myth. Bascon working the head and body with strikes. Bascon winds up and cracks Przepiorka with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Przepiorka has hold of Bascon's hands but Bascon slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Przepiorka wants to improve his position but Bascon is controlling well.
Bascon wants to pass the guard but Przepiorka is defending well. Bascon landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Przepiorka wants to get back to full guard. Bascon frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Bascon unloading with bombs! Bascon lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Przepiorka is in a horrible position here. Bascon smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Przepiorka is rocked! Przepiorka taking shots to the head. Przepiorka is still in real trouble! Can Bascon finish him? Przepiorka tries to improve his position but Bascon has taken his back! Bascon has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Przepiorka tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Bascon pushes Przepiorka away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Wilson Bascon! In his post fight interview, Wilson Bascon started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
