Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Alkofer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rab Rehab (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rehab has chosen saturday nights alright for fighting as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Daniel Alkofer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rab Rehab! The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Skip Squint and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rehab is looking to slow Alkofer down with leg kicks. Alkofer drives through with a takedown into guard. Rehab looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rehab escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Alkofer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Alkofer trying to control but Rehab is working from the bottom. Rehab avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Alkofer wants to control from the top but Rehab keeps moving. Alkofer pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rehab is keeping the position for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alkofer is pushing down on Rehab's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rehab is fighting to maintain full guard but Alkofer has managed to sneak the leg through. Alkofer trying to control from half guard but Rehab is working away. Rehab looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Alkofer trying to mount his opponent but Rehab defends it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rehab is trying to get back to full guard. Alkofer tries to pass to full mount but Rehab defends it. Rehab is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Rehab is staying active underneath Alkofer, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Alkofer wants to free his trapped foot but Rehab is holding on for dear life with his legs. Alkofer perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Alkofer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rehab does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Alkofer is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Rehab is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Rehab is looking to control Alkofer's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rehab avoid being mounted?
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rehab tries to get to full guard but Alkofer has control of the leg. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Alkofer trying to control from half guard but Rehab is working away.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. A big left from Rehab misses. A momentary lapse in concentration from Rehab enables Alkofer to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rehab manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Alkofer trying to control but Rehab is working from the bottom. Rehab looking to control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Alkofer tries to advance to mount but can't. Rehab sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Rehab is looking for a sweep. Alkofer is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Rehab makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rehab. Rehab looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Alkofer controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Rehab tries to land a sweep but no joy. Rehab has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Alkofer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Rehab working for a triangle but Alkofer defends it easily.

Alkofer looking to pass the guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rehab escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Alkofer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Alkofer preventing the sweep. Both fighters circling a little - Alkofer finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Rehab gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Alkofer to score an easy takedown into full guard. Alkofer works a leg free and moves into half guard. Alkofer not doing much here.
Rehab is not content to let Alkofer control the position. Rehab is looking for a sweep. Alkofer is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Alkofer is stalling here. Rehab is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Alkofer seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Rehab has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Alkofer is trying to improve his position. Rehab connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Alkofer some visible discomfort.
Rehab creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Alkofer sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Alkofer manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rehab tries to get to full guard but Alkofer has control of the leg. The fighters are battling for position here. Rehab manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Alkofer is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rehab can do to turn this around? Rehab is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

That was a close second round but I would say that Daniel Alkofer will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Alkofer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Rehab throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Alkofer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rehab keeps working. Rehab sneaks back into half guard. Rehab is looking for a sweep. Alkofer is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Rehab is staying active underneath Alkofer, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Rehab looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Alkofer missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Alkofer lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Alkofer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
