Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gottlieb Hiebknecht (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kostya Gluchov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gottlieb Hiebknecht could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kostya Gluchov's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gottlieb Hiebknecht! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kostya Gluchov! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hiebknecht circles away from the clinch attempt and Hiebknecht counters with a shoot takedown. Gluchov fights it but they end up in guard. Hiebknecht passes Gluchov's left leg - he's now in half guard. Gluchov wants to control but Hiebknecht is keeping busy.
Hiebknecht seems to be looking for submissions.
Hiebknecht wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gluchov keeps working. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hiebknecht works his foot free and advances to mount. Hiebknecht can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gluchov is looking to escape. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hiebknecht looking for a guillotine from mount but Gluchov is having none of it. Gluchov is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hiebknecht is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Gluchov has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Hiebknecht has control of Gluchov's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Gluchov regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Hiebknecht looking to control but Gluchov is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hiebknecht with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Hiebknecht looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Gluchov tries to hold on but Hiebknecht postures up. Gluchov is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Hiebknecht locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Gluchov is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Gottlieb Hiebknecht! Gottlieb Hiebknecht seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
