Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kellen Patrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Kaiwi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chris Kaiwi is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kellen Patrick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chris Kaiwi!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaiwi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Patrick sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Nice takedown defense from Patrick. No joy for Kaiwi on that attempt.
Kaiwi pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Patrick throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Patrick displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kaiwi.
Patrick seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Kellen Patrick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Kaiwi.
Kaiwi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Patrick paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Patrick cracks Kaiwi with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Patrick has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Kaiwi to stand back up!

It looks like Chris Kaiwi has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kaiwi shoots in looking for a takedown but Patrick manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kaiwi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Kaiwi gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Patrick gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Kaiwi is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
