Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zeze Berner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gray Hawkes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). He arrived on a last minute flight shortly after looking tired and unhappy. Officials decided the fight should still take place, much to the delight of the fans in attendance.
Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zeze Berner and Gray Hawkes. Berner comes to the cage accompanied by Breaking stuff. Hawkes has chosen Not Gonna Die as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Zeze Berner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gray Hawkes!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berner shoots in and drives through. Hawkes sprawls well.
Hawkes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hawkes tries to clinch but Berner moves out of range.
Berner swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Berner darts in and clinches Hawkes up against the cage.
Hawkes escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hawkes steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Berner. That one must have hurt.
Hawkes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hawkes slaps away a takedown attempt from Berner, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Hawkes walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Berner checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Berner fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zeze Berner. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hawkes rushes Berner and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Berner has Hawkes pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hawkes manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Berner changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hawkes fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Berner working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Hawkes tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Berner postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hawkes is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Berner, into his guard.
Berner is looking to stand back up but Hawkes counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Berner.
Hawkes frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Hawkes avoids the attempt from Berner to control.
Hawkes misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Berner is squirming around, avoiding Hawkes's attempts to control the action.
Berner is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Hawkes is working for a guillotine from mount but Berner frees his head quite easily.

Berner makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Hawkes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Berner tries to avoid it but Hawkes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Berner to the ground. Berner escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hawkes drives through and clinches with Berner against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hawkes pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

That was a close round but I would say that Zeze Berner will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Berner throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Hawkes blocks it with crossed arms.

Zeze Berner really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that KAISER logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
