And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Medina keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Black drives through with a takedown into guard.
Medina is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Black trying to control but Medina is working from the bottom.
Black preventing the sweep.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Medina seems keen to control Black's posture.
Medina bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Black's guard.
Medina working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Medina trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Medina postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Black could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Medina drops back, looking for a kneebar! Black looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Black looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Black!
Medina is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Black has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Medina struggling a bit here.
Black wants to lay and pray for a moment but Medina keeps working.
Medina controls the position for a moment.

Black tries to move into full mount but can't pass Medina's legs.
Medina is looking for a sweep.
Medina isn't going anywhere.
Medina regains half guard.
Medina holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Medina slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Medina kicks Black off and gets to his feet.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Black. Medina shrugs it off though.
Black tries to sprawl but Medina drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Medina is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Medina is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Medina tries to pass to full mount but Black defends it.

Medina seems to be working for a kimura but Black defends the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Medina looks winded!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Medina is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Black doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Medina.
Medina is trying for a kimura here. Black looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Medina wins by kimura!

A very excited looking Nestor Medina rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
