Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dark Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Naya Shinoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shinoki has chosen wadiako as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dark Hunter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Naya Shinoki ! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hunter clinches with his opponent.
Hunter lands a nice shot to the body. Shinoki is trying to drag Hunter to the mat but Hunter just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Shinoki has Hunter pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Shinoki pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Hunter tumbling to the mat - Shinoki dives into Hunter's guard. Hunter trying to keep a closed guard but Shinoki is proving a slippery customer.
Shinoki drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Shinoki jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hunter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Shinoki throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hunter works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shinoki trying to control the position from guard on top but Hunter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Shinoki showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Hunter keeping moving, preventing Shinoki from controlling successfully.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Dark Hunter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hunter closes the distance and clinches. Shinoki has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hunter after a bit of a struggle. Hunter avoiding damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hunter throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Shinoki takes an elbow to the forehead. Shinoki is looking for a takedown. Dark Hunter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Naya Shinoki . Shinoki can't get the takedown.

Shinoki is looking to advance position but Hunter won't allow it. Shinoki is working for a kimura but Hunter is defending it quite comfortably.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Hunter is trying to control but Shinoki manages to pass to mount!
Shinoki sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Shinoki looking to ground and pound but Hunter is blocking nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shinoki controlling the position easily from mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Shinoki thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dark Hunter will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Shinoki has Hunter pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hunter manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Shinoki goes for a takedown attempt but Hunter pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Hunter closes the distance and clinches. Hunter is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shinoki can do to turn this around? Hunter gets underhooks to prevent Shinoki 's takedown attempt.

He has hold of a leg but Hunter is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Shinoki persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Hunter wants to sweep but no luck. Hunter keeping moving, preventing Shinoki from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hunter is adopting a defensive guard. The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Shinoki gets tackled into the cage by Hunter. Hunter maintains the clinch. Hunter throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Shinoki s head. Hunter prevents the takedown attempt.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Shinoki dodges an elbow strike from Hunter.

Shinoki tries to land a sweep but no joy. Shinoki is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Hunter wants to clinch but Shinoki slips to the side and Shinoki counters with a one-two to the body. Hunter gets a clinch. Hunter lands on the inside with an uppercut. Hunter misses with an elbow over the top. Shinoki decides to pull guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hunter wants to stand and escape but instead Shinoki has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Hunter holds on and takes a little breather. Hunter is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dark Hunter will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Shinoki avoids a wild elbow strike from Hunter. Hunter prevents the takedown attempt.

Hunter lands a left hand that snaps the head of Shinoki backwards. A short right hand to the side of the head by Hunter. Hunter looks to throw an elbow but misses. That's one minute gone in the round. Hunter pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hunter instigates a clinch. Hunter misses with a hook to the ribs.
Hunter is looking to control Shinoki 's arms but Shinoki gets an underhook and turns him. Now Hunter has his back to the cage. Hunter is pressed up against the cage. Shinoki has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hunter down to the mat. Hunter avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Hunter gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Hunter misses with an elbow strike.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Shinoki passes to side control. Shinoki throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Hunter takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Shinoki is trying to get an arm triangle but Hunter is defending well. Shinoki working away. Naya Shinoki has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Shinoki tries to advance to mount but can't. Shinoki working away. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Shinoki tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Hunter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shinoki on the ground. Shinoki slows the pace down.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
And that's the end of the fight! Dark Hunter showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hunter, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
