The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marcon looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Marcon postures up.
Marcon engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Marcon has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Faarazh trying to control the position.
Marcon is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Marcon pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Faarazh is keeping the position for now.
Marcon scoring with some ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Marcon makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Faarazh really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Marcon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Marcon forces his way into half guard.
Marcon slows the pace down in half guard.
Faarazh has hold of Marcon's hands but Marcon slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Marcon trying to mount his opponent but Faarazh defends it.
Marcon is taking a breather. Faarazh says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Faarazh is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Marcon scores with a couple of nice shots.
Marcon content to control rather than advance.
Marcon uses his free foot to push down on Faarazh's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Faarazh.

Marcon lands a big elbow.
Faarazh really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Oooh a big shot lands for Marcon! Faarazh is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!
