The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McQuarrie will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
McQuarrie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McGinty paws at him with a jab and circles away.
McQuarrie doesn't manage to clinch there - McGinty circles away.
McGinty misses with a takedown
and McQuarrie counters with a flying knee. Nice.
McQuarrie lands a head kick. McGinty smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

McQuarrie is trying to work for a kimura but McGinty is defending well.
McGinty has one foot on McQuarrie's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
McQuarrie tries a head kick but it misses.

and McQuarrie counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by McQuarrie.

McQuarrie is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
McQuarrie tries to reverse the position but McGinty maintains control.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
McGinty with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
McGinty has control of McQuarrie's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and McQuarrie regains control of the situation pretty easily.
