Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Myron Klewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Deary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Klewis's entrance music is Black. A fine choice. Gary Deary has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Myron Klewis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gary Deary! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Eddie Farnsworth and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Klewis fails with a takedown attempt. Klewis takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Deary punishes Klewis's body with a nice straight punch. Deary displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Klewis. Deary closes the distance and clinches up with Klewis, looking for a takedown. Deary pushes Klewis against the cage but Klewis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Deary lands with a hook. Klewis tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Deary lands an overhand right. Deary shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Deary scores with a decent looking hook. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Klewis closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Deary to the mat! Deary manages to get full guard. Deary wants to sweep here but Klewis controlling him for the moment. Klewis working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Deary really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Klewis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've been hearing that Klewis has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Deary is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Klewis trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Klewis lands a couple of digs. Klewis pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Deary is keeping the position for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Klewis with a flurry of punches that miss.

Deary avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Klewis connects with a couple of short punches. Klewis loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Deary looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Deary utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Klewis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Deary swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Myron Klewis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Deary leaves Klewis with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Deary's coach down at Midnight MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Deary's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Klewis shoots in for a takedown but Deary shows good takedown defense. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Klewis. It seemed like Deary was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Klewis with a lazy takedown attempt and Deary counters with a straight right hand. Klewis throws a body kick that misses. Deary throws a leg kick but Klewis checks it. Klewis shoots in for a double leg but Deary sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Klewis is breathing heavily. Klewis looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Deary! The ground and pound from Klewis seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Deary is looking to regain half guard here but Klewis keeps moving and retains side control. Klewis wants to stand but Deary has his arm trapped. Klewis postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Klewis throws an elbow but Deary slips to the side and avoids it well. Deary is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Klewis in side control, throwing shots but Deary defends. Deary parries the strikes from Klewis easily there. Klewis is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Deary to escape.

That was a close round but I would say that Myron Klewis will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

Klewis lands some shots froms side control. Klewis lands an elbow. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Deary is trying to get back to half guard. Klewis is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Deary is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Klewis landing a few strikes. Deary on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Check out the look on Klewis's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Deary can't do much from the bottom here. Klewis creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Deary sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Klewis thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Klewis lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Deary down.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Klewis thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Deary is holding on to half guard well.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Deary circles away from the clinch attempt enabling Deary to counter with a crisp jab. Deary misses with a takedown and Klewis counters with a left and a right that stings Deary. Klewis on the wrong end of a nice hook. Deary has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Deary's corner calls for a 1-2. Deary obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Klewis is looking to clinch. Deary stuns Klewis with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Jab from Deary. Deary connects with the punch. Myron Klewis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Deary darts in looking for a takedown but Klewis gets double underhooks and turns Deary into the cage. Klewis appears to be looking for a big counter. Deary takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Klewis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Deary but Deary pushes him off and we're back to square one. Nice takedown defense from Deary. No joy for Klewis on that attempt. Deary leaves Klewis with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Klewis gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Deary counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Klewis tries to move into range but Deary moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Some bone on bone action there as Klewis checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Myron Klewis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Klewis wants to get up but he can't break Deary's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Klewis throws a big elbow that misses. Klewis stopping the sweep attempt from Deary. Klewis postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Myron Klewis is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. This has been an exciting period of action! Deary controls Klewis momentarily but Klewis frees himself. Gary Deary has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Klewis throws a big elbow that misses. Klewis distracts Deary with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Myron Klewis. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Klewis, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
