Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Watson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glen Quagmire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Watson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is 50 Cent - The Funeral. Glen Quagmire has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thomas Watson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Glen Quagmire! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Watson misses with a looping left. Good leg kick by Watson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Watson scores with a shot to the body.
Watson throws a low kick but Quagmire moves out of range easily. Watson with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Quagmire takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Quagmire clinches up against the cage. Watson managing to block the knees to the body from Quagmire.
Watson misses with a hook from the clinch. Watson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Watson tries to score with a low kick but Quagmire moves his leg out of the way. Quagmire ducks right into an uppercut from Watson.
It looks like Glen Quagmire has been cut. A big right from Quagmire misses. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Quagmire throws a head kick that misses and Watson counters with a nice uppercut. Watson checks a leg kick nicely. Quagmire throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Thomas Watson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Watson keeps the fight on the outside. Watson wants to slow Quagmire down by chopping away at his legs. Quagmire bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Watson throws out a loose jab but Quagmire uses good head movement to avoid it. Watson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quagmire displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Watson throws out the jab. Watson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Quagmire forces Watson back against the cage and clinches. Quagmire has Watson pressed against the cage, preventing Watson from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Watson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A left lands for Watson. Quagmire avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Quagmire scores with a one two! Watson had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Watson throws a nice outside leg kick. Quagmire walks into a stiff left hand from Watson.
Quagmire is rocked! Quagmire glances at the clock... BAM! Watson nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Quagmire crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Quagmire is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Thomas Watson! Thomas Watson spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
