The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potter closes the distance and clinches up with Wilson, looking for a takedown. Potter pushes Wilson against the cage but Wilson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Potter shoots in for a takedown but Wilson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Wilson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Potter is defended easily by Wilson.
Piolet Wilson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Potter.
Wilson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wilson wants it to stay on the feet.
Potter tries for a takedown but Wilson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Potter goes for a double leg but Wilson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wilson continues to drive forward.

Potter has Wilson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Wilson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Potter has hold of one of Wilson's legs. Wilson is fighting the takedown attempt but Potter gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Potter passes Wilson's left leg - he's now in half guard.
