Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kunle Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Warrior's Theme. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adam Davis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kunle Jones! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jorge Garcia and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Davis to the ground. Jones is now in Davis's guard. Jones throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Davis works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Jones missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Davis lands a good elbow from the bottom. Jones is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Davis looking for a guillotine here but Jones defends easily.
Davis wants to stand up but Jones is controlling him. Jones must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones trying to control but Davis is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jones's guard. Davis wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving. Davis stopping the sweep attempt from Jones. Jones trying to control the position here. Davis trying to stand up but can't free himself from Jones's guard. Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Jones looking for a guillotine here but Davis defends easily.
Davis slips nicely into half guard. Davis is trying to control. Jones wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Jones avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Davis. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Davis in particular looking to stall.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Davis fails to land the takedown. Jones misses with a few strikes there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis swinging wildly here.
Jones lands a leg kick that knocks Davis off balance momentarily. No joy there for Davis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jones looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. A good leg kick by Jones. Jones keeps the fight on the outside. Jones is looking to score with low kicks. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Davis checks a leg kick. Jones connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Davis ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jones moves away. Jones throws a leg kick and Davis counters with a one-two to the body. Jones throws a low kick but Davis moves out of range easily. Jones takes a swing at Davis's ribcage but misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Jones - that will leave a mark!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Davis checks a leg kick. Jones manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Davis on his heels. He'll look to pass Davis's guard now, I'm sure. This has been an exciting period of action! Jones throws a strike but Davis rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Davis passes easily into side control. Nice work. Jones is looking for a sweep. Jones can't do much from the bottom here. Jones is looking for a sweep. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Davis swings around for an armbar but Jones sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Davis's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kunle Jones dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Davis swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Davis prevents a takedown attempt there.
Davis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Davis displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jones. Kunle Jones seems to be getting the better of the standup. Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Jones looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Davis with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Davis keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis gets back to full guard.
Kunle Jones has got the better of the ground game so far. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Davis is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Jones trying to control here.
Davis tries to stand but can't do so whilst Jones controls his leg. Davis perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Jones keeping control of the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Davis with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Davis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jones keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Jones wants to control but Davis is keeping busy.
Jones tries to get to full guard but Davis has control of the leg. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones is trying to control but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis throwing shots but Jones is blocking nicely. Davis seems to be working for a kimura but Jones defends the submission attempt. Jones desperately trying to maintain half guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Jones misses with a body kick. Kunle Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Davis is fending him off so far but Jones persists. Nope, Davis circles away and we're back to standing. Adam Davis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kunle Jones. Davis checks a leg kick. Davis darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Jones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Davis tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Jones wants to control but Davis is keeping busy and won't allow it. Jones has a hand on Davis's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Davis takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Davis avoids the attempt from Jones to control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jones is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adam Davis dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Davis shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jones defends it nicely. Adam Davis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Davis moves out of range of the strikes. Davis keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jones tries to work over Davis's front leg with a kick but Davis checks it. Jones throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Jones misses with a low kick.
Jones lands with a thumping leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Davis shoots in and drives through. Jones sprawls well. Jones connects with a body shot that sends Davis's belly button to the back. Davis has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adam Davis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones wants to slow Davis down by chopping away at his legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis has his takedown stuffed and Jones counters with a low kick, right behind Davis 's knee. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jones throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Jones throws a leg kick but Davis checks it. Davis tries to clinch but Jones is having none of it. Jones throws a leg kick but Davis sees it coming and moves out of range. Jones is looking to land body kicks. Jones fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Davis checks a low kick from Jones. Davis shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jones sprawls well. Jones wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Davis gets slowly back to his feet. Davis fails in his attempt to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones keeps the fight on the outside. Davis fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jones tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Jones looks to score with a jab to the body but Davis is just out of range. Jones misses with a low kick.
Jones on the wrong end of a nice hook. Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Davis wants to clinch and Jones makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Davis really felt that one! Davis keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Jones turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Jones darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Davis blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jones. Jones is controlling the pace.
Jones seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Jones content to control rather than advance. Jones has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Jones scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones wants to take a breather but Davis is having none of it. Jones not doing much here.
Jones wants to pass to mount but Davis is defending the position. Jones sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Davis defending well though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jones trying to control the pace. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Jones with the ground and pound but Davis uses the opportunity to regain guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Kunle Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Jones has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
