Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roman Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Shamrock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shamrock is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Thunder strike. The key to victory for Roman Davis has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Steven Brown and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis swings for the body but Shamrock moves out of range.
Davis closes the distance and clinches.
Davis blocks an uppercut.
Shamrock cracks Davis with a nice body shot.
Davis drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Davis is trying to break free.
Shamrock tries for a takedown but Davis manages to get underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Davis prevents a takedown attempt there.
Davis is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Shamrock gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Shamrock is pressed up against the ropes. Davis has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Shamrock down to the mat. Shamrock avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Shamrock shoots in but Davis avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Shamrock displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Davis throws out the jab.
A punch lands to the side of Shamrock 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Davis lands with a nice combination. Shamrock backs away looking to recover.
Davis lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Shamrock shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Shamrock showed some decent athleticism there.
Shamrock is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Davis is just riding it out for now. Shamrock eventually gives up the hold.

Shamrock avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Davis has his foot on Shamrock's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Shamrock works his way back into a safe position though.

Shamrock stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Davis swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Davis looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Davis manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Shamrock is looking to improve his position but Davis isn't that keen on the idea.
Davis lands a big elbow.
Shamrock wants to hold on but Davis pushes him away.
Davis looking to control but Shamrock is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Shamrock is trying to escape the mount.
Davis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Shamrock is looking to escape.
Shamrock is in all sorts of trouble here.
Shamrock wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Davis is cranking Shamrock's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Shamrock! He's tightened the choke and Shamrock is tapping out!
