And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Sergei Dronov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keef uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.


It looks like Quinton Burgess has been cut.
Burgess throws a sloppy head kick and Keef moves out of range easily.

and Burgess moves into the clinch.
Burgess has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Keef after a bit of a struggle.

Burgess has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Keef uses from the top position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Burgess wants to get up but he can't break Keef's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Keef is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Keef tries to close the distance and clinch up but Burgess swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Burgess got a little sloppy there for a moment and Keef has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Burgess has managed to get both his arms back between Keef's legs - danger averted.

Keef misses with a takedown attempt

Keef blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Keef wants to get back to striking at distance but Burgess won't allow it.

Keef manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Keef escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Burgess gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Keef tries to close the distance and clinch but Burgess swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Burgess manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Keef manages to get himself to full guard.

Burgess working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Keef's head.
Burgess stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Keef swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Burgess is looking to stand up but Keef won't let him.

Burgess postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Keef is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Burgess, into his guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Keef stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Burgess swivels though and keeps the full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Quinton Burgess.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Burgess, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
