Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Conor McCracken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Commander Shepard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McCracken's entrance music is Rebels Song - Come out and Fight. A fine choice. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Conor McCracken! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Commander Shepard! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Donald Grub and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McCracken is trying hard to land a takedown here. Shepard sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Some bone on bone action there as McCracken checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. McCracken misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Shepard doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. McCracken shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Shepard defends it nicely. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Conor McCracken. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shepard feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits McCrackens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! McCracken shoots in and bounces Shepard off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McCracken working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Our spies down at at The Sweat Lodge inform us that Shepard has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Shepard looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shepard is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shepard can do anything to dispel that myth. Shepard is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. McCracken drops back looking for a leg! Shepard is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Shepard manages to kick McCracken off! McCracken jumps back into Shepard's guard. Shepard is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Shepard controlling the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. McCracken misses with a hook. Shepard lands with a thumping leg kick.
McCracken misses with a head kick.
Shepard lands a slapping body shot.
McCracken swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Shepard counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. McCracken avoids the body shot from Shepard.
McCracken with a lazy takedown attempt and Shepard counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps McCracken thinking. Jab from Shepard. McCracken blocks a head kick by Shepard.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Shepard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. McCracken with a lazy takedown attempt and Shepard counters with a straight right hand. McCracken misses with a shot to the body and Shepard counters with a nice body shot. Conor McCracken seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A decent looking body kick lands there for Shepard. Shepard looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Shepard lands a nice leg kick that just misses McCracken's sensitive parts. McCracken chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Shepard can pounce on him.
McCracken misses with a combination
and Shepard counters with a nice kick to the body. Shepard throws a push kick but McCracken slaps the foot to one side. McCracken throws a shot from downtown. Shepard moves away and avoids it. Shepard looks like he wants to counter punch here. Shepard lands a jab to the nose. Shepard lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Shepard circles away from the clinch attempt.
A nice side step and Shepard releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
That's four minutes gone in the round. No joy there for McCracken, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
McCracken misses with a body kick. Shepard dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on McCracken. That did some damage! McCracken tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Shepard looks to land a body kick but McCracken moved away. McCracken throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Shepard throws a fast counter high kick but McCracken manages to duck under it in time. Nice body kick from Shepard. McCracken is breathing heavily. McCracken shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Shepard defends it nicely. Shepard defends well against a solid takedown attempt from McCracken. Commander Shepard is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Shepard dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Shepard pushes McCracken away with a front kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Commander Shepard dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Shepard changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. McCracken shoots in for a takedown but Shepard shows good takedown defense. Shepard throws a front kick that sends McCracken stumbling back into the cage. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Shepard. McCracken shrugs it off though. Shepard has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Shepard with a jab. Conor McCracken is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Shepard misses with a body kick. Shepard lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Shepard chopping away at his opponent's legs.
McCracken tries a head kick but it misses.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Shepard throws a nice outside leg kick. Shepard avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Shepard scores with a spinning back kick! McCracken will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shepard lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
McCracken is rocked! Shepard lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. McCracken has his takedown stuffed and Shepard counters with a nice right hand that sends McCracken toppling to the canvas! McCracken scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Shepard finish him?! Oh McCracken is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Shepard and McCracken are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Shepard throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking McCracken into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Shepard knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Commander Shepard! An out of breath Commander Shepard thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
