Barclay's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Roxy Music - Avalon. Carroll has chosen Horse Outside as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Andy Barclay! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Andy Carroll! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carroll throws out a loose jab but Barclay uses good head movement to avoid it. Barclay misses with a body kick. Carroll blocks a head kick by Barclay.
Barclay's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Carroll connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Barclay scrambles back to his feet. Carroll misses with a lunging right hand
and Barclay counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Barclay looks at the referee who does nothing so Barclay lands a crushing right that sends Carroll to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andy Barclay! Our winner, Andy Barclay, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
