The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carlyle keeps the fight on the outside.
A little jabbing left from Carlyle on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Carlyle moves away from the strike by Heath.
Heath is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Heath uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Carlyle.

Heath throws a lazy right hand but Carlyle sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Carlyle uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Heath definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Carlyle shoots in looking for a takedown but Heath manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Carlyle's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Heath lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Carlyle uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Heath.
Despite the aggression on Carlyle's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Heath fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Carlyle manages to avoid it.
And Carlyle responds with a good body kick, but Heath manages to step out the way in time.
Heath is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Carlyle can do to turn this around?
Carlyle tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Heath manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Heath shoots in and bounces Carlyle off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Carlyle bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Heath's guard.

Carlyle is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Heath is just riding it out for now. Carlyle eventually gives up the hold.
Carlyle seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Heath is looking to control Carlyle's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Heath avoid being mounted?

Carlyle looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Carlyle is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Heath doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Carlyle.

Heath knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Carlyle on the ground.

Carlyle is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Heath has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Heath is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Carlyle working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Carlyle is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Heath can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Carlyle postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Heath looks a forlorn figure.

Carlyle is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Heath is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Heath flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Carlyle anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Heath and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Carlyle slips an arm under Heath chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Carlyle has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Carlyle is squeezing on Heath like an anaconda would it's prey. Heath fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
