Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Giant Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burns comes to the cage accompanied by Down With The Sickness- Disturbed. Paul Taylor will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Taylor!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor closes this distance looking for a takedown but Burns circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Burns looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Burns fails to land with a series of punches.
Taylor slips under a jab from Burns.
Burns keeps the fight on the outside.
Burns doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Taylor counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Taylor is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Burns gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Taylor breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Taylor closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Taylor wants to lay and pray for a moment but Burns keeps working.

Taylor wants to take a breather but Burns is having none of it.
Burns tries to roll over but Taylor keeps him under control.

Burns has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Taylor can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Taylor stands and throws Burns's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Taylor forces Burns back against the cage and clinches.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Taylor turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Taylor manages to end up in side control.
Burns tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Burns is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Taylor off and has taken his back!
Taylor is really stuck here.

Burns working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

A close round but Paul Taylor will probably get the nod.

Taylor escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Taylor counters with a nice double leg into side control. Burns won't be happy with that.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Giant Burns. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Burns is looking to reverse the position.
Taylor wants to control but Burns is keeping him busy.
Burns is trying to improve his position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Taylor. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Taylor throws a head kick but Burns moves out of range.

Taylor is taking a breather. Burns says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Taylor misses with a takedown

and Burns decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Taylor's guard.

Burns thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Burns tries for a kimura but Taylor is defending well.
Taylor is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Burns off and has taken his back!

Burns breaks Taylor's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Taylor manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Taylor is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Taylor shoots in and bounces Burns off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Taylor passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's time! Burns's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Taylor can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Burns is looking to escape.

Taylor is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Giant Burns has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Paul Taylor is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well Taylor has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
