The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Ruxpin tried to score with a low kick but Brooks checks it.
Brooks avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Ruxpin throws a nice looking combination but Brooks bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

We've been told by Ruxpin's head coaches at Total Impact that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Brooks has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Brooks backs away from a small jab... but Ruxpin lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Brooks crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Ruxpin with a spectacular finish!
