Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryder Hefner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rony Moraes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ryder Hefner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Rony Moraes!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hefner cracks Moraes with an open hand slap.
We've been told by Hefner's head coaches at Total Impact that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Moraes throws a sloppy body shot
and Hefner counters with a nice uppercut.
A punch combination from Moraes misses.
Hefner checks a low kick from Moraes.
Moraes shoots in but Hefner avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Moraes misses with a wild body shot.
Moraes swings away with a body shot that misses
and Hefner counters with a three punch combo that has Moraes backing up. Moraes nods at Hefner to acknowledge the strikes.
Moraes misses the shot to the body.
A quick step to the side and Hefner tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hefner throws a right hand that Moraes ducks under and follows up with a left that Moraes also avoids with ease.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Moraes.
It looked like Hefner was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Moraes misses with a jab to the body
and Hefner counters with a stiff right hand.
A clash of legs there as Hefner blocks the low kick.
Hefner went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Moraes throws a body kick that misses
and Hefner connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Rony Moraes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Moraes shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hefner manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hefner wants to stand up but Moraes is controlling him.
Hefner keeping full guard, as Moraes tries to pass.
Moraes forces his way into half guard.

Moraes is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hefner sees it coming and defends easily.
Moraes passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Hefner!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moraes wants to take his opponent's back but Hefner doesn't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee warns Hefner that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Hefner holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Moraes tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Moraes is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hefner can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Moraes sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Moraes thowing shots but they're missing.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hefner can't escape the position.
Moraes lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Moraes wants to control the pace but Hefner is squirming around nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Moraes is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Hefner to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hefner shrugs it off.

Moraes is trying to take his opponent's back.

Moraes looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Moraes in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Moraes moves to the back.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Moraes gets his hands free as Hefner looks to control.

Moraes has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Hefner is defending well but eventually Moraes manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Hefner has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Rony Moraes!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Rony Moraes waved his t-shirt featuring Bad Man Clothing (Nothing Over $40)'s logo in front of the cameras.
