Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Valeriy Grushevky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randall Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Valeriy Grushevky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Randall Wallace! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Chris Edwards and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grushevky throws a right and a left that Wallace avoids nicely. Grushevky tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Wallace defends well and Grushevky ends up having to push Wallace into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. The fight moves into the clinch position. Wallace pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Wallace moves into range and clinches up with Grushevky. A quick uppercut on the inside from Wallace. Wallace throws an elbow but it misses.
Wallace is defending well against a takedown attempt. Grushevky has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Wallace after a bit of a struggle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Valeriy Grushevky. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Grushevky tries for a takedown. No joy.

Wallace throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Wallace thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Grushevky if he has to take too many more of those.
Wallace has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Grushevky moves out of range as Wallace strikes. Grushevky shoots in but no luck this time. Wallace gets in close and instigates a clinch. A quick uppercut on the inside from Wallace. Wallace lands a nice elbow from the clinch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wallace lands a right hand. Grushevky's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Wallace unloads a knee to the mid-section. Wallace tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Randall Wallace dominated that round. The cut man is working on Valeriy Grushevky's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Grushevky moves out of range of the body kick. Wallace lands a nice leg kick that just misses Grushevky's sensitive parts. Randall Wallace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wallace throws a low kick but Grushevky moves out of range easily. Grushevky shoots in looking for a takedown but Wallace manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Grushevky's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Some wild striking there from Grushevky.
Grushevky shoots and misses and Wallace counters by moving into the clinch. A nice right hand lands inside from Wallace. Grushevky takes an elbow to the temple. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wallace unloads a knee to the mid-section. Wallace gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Wallace lands with a light punch inside.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wallace lands a hook that snaps the head of Grushevky backwards. Wallace's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Wallace moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Wallace has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Wallace clinches up against the cage. A nice left hand lands by Wallace.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Wallace softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Wallace lands a right hand. Grushevky is rocked! Wallace lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Grushevky to his knees! Wallace keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
