The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Sanchez shoots in looking for a takedown. Lupo tries to sprawl out of it but Sanchez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lupo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Sanchez throws a body punch but Lupo moves out of range.
Lupo throws out a counter right but Sanchez avoids it with no problem.
Both fighters circling a little - Lupo finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Sanchez shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sanchez showed some decent athleticism there.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sanchez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lupo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
