Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gerry Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nero Padilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Padilla is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Black Rob (featuring G-Dep & Lil' Kim) - Dame Espacio. Nero Padilla has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Gerry Khan's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Gerry Khan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nero Padilla! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Phil Schofield and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khan thuds a left hand into Padilla's body. Khan scores with a hook to the body. Padilla takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Khan throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Padilla stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Gerry Khan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Khan takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Padilla takes a shot right to the bread basket. Khan throws a body shot but no joy. Khan is looking to wear down Padilla with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Khan fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Padilla has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Khan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Padilla to score an easy takedown into full guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Padilla trying to control but Khan is working from the bottom. Padilla has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Diamond Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Khan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Padilla postures up and lands a big shot to Khan's brow. Padilla throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Khan works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Padilla working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Padilla doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Khan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Padilla uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Khan.
Khan connects with a body shot that sends Padilla's belly button to the back. Gerry Khan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Padilla takes a swing at Khan's ribcage but misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Khan with a body punch. A glancing blow. Padilla misses with a left hand and Khan counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Khan lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Khan fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Padilla has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Khan takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Khan throws a body shot but no joy. Padilla looks to land a left hand but Khan moved out of range nicely. Padilla throws a right and a left that Khan avoids nicely. Khan scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Khan digs a good hook to Padilla's body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Khan dips down and scores with a jab to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Khan clobbers Padilla with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Khan misses with the combination.

And Padilla tries to counter it with a takedown but Khan pushes his down on his head and steps out. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Khan here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Padilla misses with a body shot.
Padilla swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Khan was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Khan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Padilla moves away. Khan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Padilla feints the counter takedown. Khan scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Padilla doesn't seem bothered though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Padilla doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Khan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Padilla can do to turn this around? Khan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Padilla manages to avoid it. And Padilla tries to counter it with a takedown but Khan pushes his down on his head and steps out. Khan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Padilla was well out of range. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Khan comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Khan moves out of range of the strikes. Khan takes a swing at Padilla's ribcage but misses.

Padilla looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Khan is fending him off so far but Padilla persists. Nope, Khan circles away and we're back to standing. Padilla throws a lazy right hand but Khan sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Khan lands an overhand right. Khan lands with a good body shot. Khan scores with a three punch combo!

Padilla misses with a takedown and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Khan cracks the inside of Padilla's front leg. Padilla swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Khan connects with the perfect overhand right and Padilla falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Khan!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gerry Khan! Gerry Khan decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
