Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Charles Carlyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sebastian Scrooge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Charles Carlyle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, Sebastian Scrooge! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Donald Grub and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carlyle misses with a hook to the body
and Scrooge counters with a nice double leg into side control. Carlyle won't be happy with that. Carlyle takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Carlyle wants to control but Scrooge postures up. Scrooge tries for a kimura but Carlyle is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Scrooge goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Carlyle rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Scrooge's guard! Nice work there by Carlyle! Scrooge is looking for a triangle but Carlyle pushes his legs off easily.
Carlyle is working Scrooge over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Scrooge tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scrooge has momentary wrist control but Carlyle slips an elbow through the middle. Scrooge is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Carlyle trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Scrooge is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Carlyle trying to control but Scrooge is working from the bottom. Carlyle throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Scrooge working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Carlyle. Carlyle working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Carlyle passes easily into side control. Nice work. Carlyle connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Scrooge some visible discomfort.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Scrooge on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Carlyle sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Scrooge is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Scrooge tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Carlyle wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carlyle goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Scrooge has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Carlyle but great work by Scrooge. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Carlyle sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Scrooge seems to be looking for submissions.
Scrooge is trying to control. Carlyle wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The fighters are battling for position here. Carlyle manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Carlyle looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scrooge trying to control but Carlyle is working from the bottom. Scrooge postures up in Carlyle's guard and throws a big left but Carlyle blocks it. Scrooge working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Scrooge looking to sit in guard and control but Carlyle gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Scrooge trying to keep a closed guard but Carlyle is proving a slippery customer.
Scrooge looking for a guillotine here but Carlyle defends easily.
Scrooge has his foot on Carlyle's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Carlyle works his way back into a safe position though. Scrooge is trying to control the position but Carlyle postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carlyle is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Scrooge working for a triangle but Carlyle defends it easily.
We've been hearing that Carlyle has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Scrooge keeping moving, preventing Carlyle from controlling successfully. Carlyle is pushing down on Scrooge's leg trying to pass to half guard. Scrooge is fighting to maintain full guard but Carlyle has managed to sneak the leg through. Carlyle lands with a punch from half guard. Carlyle controlling the action here. Scrooge is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Carlyle's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Carlyle's back! Carlyle is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Charles Carlyle will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Scrooge feints the counter takedown. A jab from Carlyle misses. Carlyle misses with a right hand and Scrooge counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Scrooge sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Carlyle defending well though. Scrooge is looking for a kimura here.
Carlyle is trying to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carlyle is not content to let Scrooge control the position. Scrooge looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Scrooge with the ground and pound but Carlyle uses the opportunity to regain guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Scrooge stopping the sweep attempt from Carlyle. Scrooge tries to free his leg and advance position but Carlyle is retaining full guard. Carlyle not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Carlyle trying to control the position here. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Scrooge looking to sit in guard and control but Carlyle gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Scrooge working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Carlyle doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Carlyle manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carlyle with a flurry of punches that miss. Scrooge is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Carlyle postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Carlyle wants to control from the top but Scrooge keeps moving. Scrooge has his hands on Carlyle's head, controlling the position. Carlyle landing with the ground and pound. Scrooge keeping moving, preventing Carlyle from controlling successfully. Carlyle passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Scrooge's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Carlyle is chipping away with strikes.
Scrooge takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Carlyle trying to control the action but Scrooge is working from the bottom. Carlyle in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Scrooge looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Carlyle turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
