Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between The Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cas Tahway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fighter comes into the arena with Im sorry Wilson! Wilsooooon! blaring out of the sound system. Cas Tahway has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Cas Tahway! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Tahway.
Tahway shoots in and gets a takedown into Fighter's guard. Fighter looking for a guillotine here but Tahway defends easily.
Fighter controls Tahway momentarily but Tahway frees himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tahway wants to pass the guard but Fighter is keeping the position. Fighter has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Tahway wants to get up but he can't break Fighter's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tahway is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fighter manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tahway manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Tahway has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Fighter pushes down on Tahway's leg and manages to get into half guard. Fighter is trying to control. Tahway wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Tahway is looking for a sweep. Fighter is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Fighter seems to be working for a kimura but Tahway defends the submission attempt. Tahway is refusing to be controlled, as Fighter sits in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tahway actively working from the bottom here. Fighter controlling the action here.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Tahway shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Fighter is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fighter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Tahway looking to pass the guard. Fighter working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Tahway. Fighter is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Fighter has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tahway can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tahway is pushing down on Fighter's leg trying to pass to half guard. Fighter is fighting to maintain full guard but Tahway has managed to sneak the leg through. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cas Tahway dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Tahway defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Fighter. Fighter takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Tahway fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Fighter, pushing him back against the cage. Tahway jumps into guard, dragging Fighter to the mat.
Tahway has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Fighter trying to control the position from guard on top but Tahway is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tahway keeping full guard, as Fighter tries to pass. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fighter wants to control from the top but Tahway keeps moving. Tahway working for a triangle but Fighter defends it easily.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tahway can do anything to dispel that myth. Tahway wants to stand but Fighter is controlling the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Tahway darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fighter wants to control but Tahway is keeping busy and won't allow it. Tahway is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Fighter is looking for a sweep. Tahway is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Fighter regains full guard. Nicely done. Tahway is sitting in close to Fighter's body. Fighter has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Tahway is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Tahway is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Fighter.
