Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Jayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiilo Rodrigo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jayne comes to the cage accompanied by Special Ed - I'm The Magnificent. Rodrigo has chosen Jedi Mind Tricks- The Philosophy of Horror as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodrigo connects with a jab.
Jayne throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rodrigo throws a leg kick which misses Jayne's front leg but catches the back leg as Jayne tries to avoid it.
Rodrigo fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Rodrigo has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Rodrigo there as he acknowledges the shot.
It looks like Hiilo Rodrigo has been cut.
Jayne throws a lazy uppercut
and Jayne takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jayne scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Jayne has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Razor Sharp Training Systems in the buildup to the fight.

and Jayne counters with a single leg into guard. Rodrigo didn't expect that.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jayne is looking to pass into half guard but Rodrigo pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Rodrigo is in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rodrigo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rodrigo felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Rodrigo tries to clinch up but Jayne pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Rodrigo to the mat! Rodrigo covers up and Jayne unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

A less than humble Patrick Jayne misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
